Identity/life certificates

In the interests of the SÄV pension community, we are required to review the status of eligibility for receiving pensions on a regular basis.

Since 1st January 2023, SÄV has been participating in the mortality data reconciliation with the German Postal Pension Service.

For pension recipients who receive a widow's or widower's pension, a certificate of identity or proof of marital status is requested every two years.

For pension recipients who do not have their permanent residence in Germany, a certificate of identity or proof of life is requested every two years, which must be confirmed by the relevant consulate.
