Contributions from sickness, injury and care support allowance
Sickness insurance funds also pay contributions from sickness benefit to members who are exempt from the statutory pension insurance scheme in the case of incapacity for work.
However, this rule applies only to members insured under statutory sickness insurance and requires an application to the health insurance fund. In addition, the defrayal presupposes that the member participates in the payment of the contributions to the same extent as the health insurance fund. Contributions are paid in the amount that would have been payable to the statutory pension insurance scheme (Section 3 (1) (3) SGB VI). The part of the insured person is to be paid by the Member himself.
The new provision, which has been inserted into the SGB V as Paragraph 47a (1), is made possible by the GKV-Versorgungsstärkungsgesetz.
In the case of entitlement to care support allowance under Paragraph 44a (3) of SGB XI for up to ten working days, contributions may be paid to the Sächsische Ärzteversorgung on request. A valid exemption from the statutory pension insurance scheme is required.
Similarly, recipients of injury allowance who are exempt from the statutory pension insurance scheme are entitled to the payment of pension insurance contributions from this injury benefit.
