Annual account identification document
Each year by the end of March, the current annual account cards shall be sent to all eligible members. A statement sheet on the assessment of contributions is attached.
The annual account card shall contain the relevant accrual data for the Member:
- All contributions paid during the previous calendar year;
- All total payments to be retired up to the 31.12th of the previous year,
- The pension entitlement acquired as a result of contributions per year;
- The sum of the points scores.
It is therefore proof of the contributions paid in a calendar year and of the pension entitlement previously acquired, shown as entitlement points and as an annual amount.
The contributions for each calendar year include all payments (compulsory contributions or voluntary additional payments) received in your contribution account from 01.01 to 31.12, regardless of the allocation (back-payment for past periods). Therefore, the annual account identification document is not appropriate in order to confirm to the tax office the employer’s and employee’s shares transferred to the pension insurance scheme. Please use the electronic payroll tax certificate issued by the employer. If subsidies from other social security institutions are included in the amount of the contribution shown, the annual account statement is not to be used for submission to the tax office.
Vesting points
The annual account statement also includes the sum of the contributions paid since the beginning of the membership and the accrued benefit points.
The annual point value per member is calculated as the sum of the contributions paid in a calendar year divided by the respective average contribution of all members multiplied by a factor of 2.
Entitlement to a pension
The Pension Benefit Communication also sets out the pension rights acquired so far per year. The pension entitlement is calculated as the sum of all points multiplied by one hundred of the applicable pension basis (decision of the Extended Chamber Assembly).
Calculation of the amount of retirement pension by simple extrapolation
The data contained in the accrual notification can be used in a very simplified procedure to ‘extrapolate’ the expected retirement pension. To this end, the entitlement acquired so far is divided by the contribution years completed in Sächsische Ärzteversorgung and multiplied by the total number of years calculated from the beginning of membership of the Sächsische Ärzteversorgung until the normal retirement age is reached. For a detailed calculation, contact the Sächsische Ärzteversorgung (Medical Service of Saxony).
